Arcadia University Theater

Arcadia's Theater Program offers four-to six productions per season.  Students work with professional directors, choreographers, designers, actors and playwrights as they bring a script to life.

This season stretches from the madcap love in Shakespeare's the forest of Arden to the imaginary life of Edgar Allen Poe in musical form.  Currently, In the Cotton by Morgan McGuire is running on our Main Stage.  It examines what happens when a racist incident is perpetrated on a college campus. I've worked as a writer, actress and more recently, as a director for Arcadia Theater.  In the Spring of 2007, Arcadia put on my play Hearsay, directed by Mark Wade.  In 2008, I got to play Prospero in Shakespeare's The Tempest, directed by Ceal Phelan.  I loved loved loved being able to sink my teeth into this traditionally male role.  Since then, I've directed the following plays:

The Motherfucker with the Hat by Stephen Adley Guirgus (2017)

Picnic by William Inge (2016)

FML: How Carson McCullers Saved my Life by Sarah Gubbins (2014)

The Children's Hour by Lillian Hellman (2012)

Criminal Hearts by Jane Martin (2009)
